July 14, 2009 - Tony Cummins – “Meetings and Special Events: Planning for Success” - This informative session, with guest speaker Tony Cummins, will bring out methods and ideas for the successful planning of meetings and special events. Before the program, you will be asked to participate in a survey related to the challenges and issues you face when planning group functions for your company.
August 11, 2009 - Valerie Pelan – “Four Ways to Effectively Communicate and Manage Difficult People in the Workplace” - Learn how to communicate more effectively and assertively; Four types of communication styles; How to adjust your communication style so that the other person hears you; 4 ways to communicate that is effective for various situations; How to recognize a difficult person; and Learn ways to handle them in various situations. Exercise (time permitting) volunteers to role play a prepared and scripted difficult person situation.

September 8, 2009 - Sue Miller – “Reframing Your Thinking! Certain Attitudes” - These are times that require us to use our resources wisely. Few people have NOT been affected by the changes in our country. Every new situation calls for us to adjust. How quickly can you respond to changes? Answer that question carefully.

October 13, 2009 - Linda Swindling – “Walk, Talk and Negotiate Like a CEO” - CEO's know how to negotiate, influence and persuade. They understand how to show up powerfully and cut tot he chase. They can assess each side's position, discuss the tough topics and maximize the opportunity. CEO's know when to stay at the table, when to leave and what deals to avoid. During this session you will learn how to: Decide if a deal is Worth it, Talk so that a CEO will hear you, Increase your executive Power, Ask outrageously, and Bulletproof your position.
November 10, 2009 - Sandy Jones – “Time Management & Concurring Clutter” - Have you ever heard the saying “Money never goes as far as you think it will”? The same can be said for time; because time never goes as far as you think it will! Sandy will discuss how improvement of time management and organization techniques can provide you and your company with a multitude of benefits. Studies have shown that people waste as much as 4.3 hours per week searching for papers. In addition, the average North American will be interrupted 73 times a day, and that disorganization on the job is a major cause of stress. Yet, according to Office Supply Company, Esselte Ltd.; “Unfortunately, many U.S. workers don’t prioritize getting organized, with only 1% regarding filing as an important element of work. Not surprisingly, lack of organization has meant nearly one-fifth (21%) have missed deadlines.”

March 9, 2010 - Carla Detrie - "Ergonomic Office Solutions" - Work doesn't have to be such a pain! This workshop will cover ergonomic solutions, productivity tools, and organizational ideas to help you manage your workflow and space.
April 13, 2010 - Frances McAnear – “Building Trust” - The components of trust: being trusting (the ability to believe in others) and being trustworthy (worthy of others' belief in you). This session will explore the basics of trust and why it is so important in any relationship. Look at characteristics of a trustworthy person, provide self-assessment to measure your individual trust level and trusworthiness perceived by others. Outline an environment that fosters trust. Discuss what happens when trust is lost and whether it can ever be retreived. Focus on how to develop trust when the relationship is virtual and/or long distance. Analyze why trust is an essential skill for all successful professionals today and in the future.
